Very interesting article if you are into this...This strengthen my belief that even though market is inherently efficient (atleast most of the time) in the longterm, it’s very inefficient in the short term.
But problem for a mom/pop amateur trader thinking about exploiting that short term inefficiency is he would be competing with hundreds of hedge funds with their army of physics/finance/comp sci PhD’s and their supercomputers :)
This is from the most unromantic man in the entire world :)
Unlike the self appointed web pundits who feel this is somehow bad for the internet, i think it’s a good development. As a web entrepreneur i would like to see a strong #2 competitor for google in search/contextual ads and hopefully this consolidation will help...IMO, combining Yahoo's great brand with Microsoft's distribution power (via IE) is a winning combo!..
But regulatory approval and the subsequent intergration will take atleast 2 years and so do the revenue lift. So in the meantime if you are a yahoo shareholder my advice is to sell the sucker (at $29) & lock your gain now!.
Can wait to see this sequel, hopefully its as funny as the trailer suggests! ...
I am one of those guys who in a face-to-face situation could'nt persuade anyone :), but online i influence hundreds of thousands of people everyday to do what i want them to do!. So its no wonder, i am very much into behavioral psychology!, i love books like Tipping Point & Freakonomics...Currently i am reading a book Psychology of Persuasion .This book explains some great psychology sales tricks, really interesting stuff!
Yes, I am not a US Citizen but as a 7 digit tax payer I believe i have a moral right to comment if not vote :)...To start on the republican side I would like a rebel like Ron Paul to get nominated but that’s not going to happen, so the next best choice IMO is Mitt Romney. John McCain, even though an honest man, is not as competent as Romney and so is Giuliani. Mike Huckabee on the other hand is a religious nut (but his Fairtax plan seems interesting!)
Although I would hate any democratic president I think I can live with a moderate like Hillary than tax raising leftists like Obama or Edwards!.
I run a internet company & work from my home most of the time. Even though my business is portable to any city in the world i choose to live in one of the most ghettoist state in the country (dont ask me why!). BTB, the best thing with this "work at home" thing is i dont have to shave everyday :)
Hmm, my first post...Even though i run websites for a living, never had a personal blog (like my anonymity). Let me try to blog atleast once a week!.
